1. General Terms
By enrolling in a course with The Academy, you agree to abide by the following Terms & Conditions. These policies are designed to ensure fairness, clarity, and professionalism for all students and educators. Please read them carefully before booking your course.
2. Booking and Deposits
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on any course. The deposit amount will be deducted from the final course balance. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received and you have received written confirmation from The Academy. Remaining balances must be paid in full on your course date. Failure to make payment on time may result in your place being cancelled and your deposit forfeited.
3. Refunds and Cancellations
For all training courses, once a deposit has been paid and a date confirmed, the deposit is strictly non-refundable. Training dates cannot be moved or rescheduled, as model bookings and preparation for your course will already have begun. Please ensure you are fully committed to your chosen date before making payment, as no refunds or date changes will be permitted under any circumstances.
4. Course Transfers and Rescheduling
If you wish to transfer to a different course date, you must notify The Academy in writing at least 14 days before your scheduled course. Transfers requested less than 14 days prior to the course date will incur a £150 rescheduling fee. Students may only transfer once; additional changes will require a new booking and deposit.
5. Attendance and Conduct
Students must arrive on time and attend the full duration of the course. Late arrivals may not be permitted to join and will forfeit all payments made. Professional conduct is expected at all times. The Academy reserves the right to remove any student displaying inappropriate or disruptive behaviour without refund.
Mobile phones should be switched to silent mode during training sessions.
6. Models
Model availability may vary depending on the course type. Students may be required to source their own model. If models are provided by The Academy, this will be stated within your course confirmation.
All treatments performed during training are under full supervision and for educational purposes only.
7. Certification and Accreditation
Practical certificates are issued only upon successful completion of the course, including all practical and theoretical components. Students must demonstrate sufficient competence and understanding to meet the required standard. Certificates are issued under The Academy’s accreditation body CPD, replacement certificates may incur an administrative fee. Online course certificates are issued via email upon completion.
8. Course Materials and Intellectual Property
All course materials, manuals, videos, and digital content remain the intellectual property of The Academy.
Students may not reproduce, distribute, or share course content without written consent. Online access is for personal educational use only and may not be shared with third parties.
9. Liability
The Academy accepts no responsibility for personal belongings brought onto the premises. Students are required to hold valid insurance (where applicable) prior to performing treatments outside of training. While every effort is made to ensure safe practice, The Academy accepts no liability for injuries or damages sustained during training or after certification.
10. Data Protection and Privacy
Personal data is collected for the purpose of enrolment, certification, and compliance. Data will be stored securely and processed in accordance with GDPR regulations. By enrolling, you consent to the use of your name and image for educational and marketing purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.
11. Changes to Courses
The Academy reserves the right to reschedule, amend, or cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. trainer illness, venue changes, or low enrolment numbers). In such cases, students will be offered an alternative date or credit towards another course.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting your booking form and/or paying a deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
