Intro to treatment

Polynucleotide treatments are an injectable regenerative skin treatment designed to improve skin quality, elasticity, and overall skin health at a cellular level. They work by stimulating tissue repair and collagen production, helping to improve texture, firmness, and hydration while supporting long term skin rejuvenation. Polynucleotides are commonly used on the face, neck, and other areas showing signs of ageing or skin damage. This treatment has been carried out by By London Aesthetics Clinic.

Understanding Polynucleotide Treatments

Polynucleotides are natural molecules derived from DNA fragments that help stimulate skin regeneration and repair. They work by promoting cell growth, improving hydration, and reducing inflammation. These treatments are often used for skin rejuvenation, wound healing, and reducing signs of aging.

After receiving a polynucleotide injection or topical application, your skin enters a sensitive phase where it needs gentle care to maximize healing and effectiveness.

Aftercare step by step

  1. Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area for at least 6 hours after treatment.

  2. Do not apply makeup to the treated area for a minimum of 12 hours.

  3. Avoid strenuous exercise, heavy sweating, saunas, steam rooms, and hot baths for 24 to 48 hours.

  4. Refrain from consuming alcohol for 24 hours to minimise swelling or bruising.

  5. Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, or small injection marks are normal and should settle within a few days.

  6. Avoid facial treatments, massages, or aesthetic procedures for at least 2 weeks unless advised otherwise.

  7. Use gentle skincare products only for 48 hours and avoid active ingredients such as retinol, acids, or exfoliants.

  8. Apply SPF daily to protect the skin and support regeneration and long term results.

  9. Stay well hydrated and follow any personalised aftercare advice provided by your practitioner.
